The Marin Medical Reserve Corps (MMRC) has been conducting community trainings on naloxone (Narcan) use. On August 5th, MMRC Volunteer Marty Frankel and Marin County Substance Use Prevention Coordinator Melissa Struzzo presented a training on the Opioid Crisis and Narcan administration to a group of 74 Marin County Search and Rescue (SAR) members and guests. SAR teams are now equipped with Narcan kits to be deployed on their missions. Opioid overdose remains a leading cause of accidental death in Marin. The MMRC and SAR have mobilized to respond to this crisis. Thank you, Marty & Melissa!
