CURES 2.0 as a Clinical Tool
The CDC recommends the use of Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMP’s) for guiding clinicians in safe prescribing. CURES, California’s PDMP, has recently undergone a significant upgrade to CURES 2.0. RxSafe Marin, with the California Department of Public Health and the Department of Justice, has produced a video featuring physicians who use CURES 2.0 regularly to highlight the ease and clinical utility of CURES 2.0. Opioid safety coalitions promoting safe prescribing can share this brief video with clinicians, hospitals and medical systems.
